Lal Lal Falls, near Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Lal Lal is located just south east of Ballarat Central Victoria. These falls have been a mecca for photographers since the 1800s. It is now listed in the national heritage listings for public use.
It is interesting to note the two basalt layers from volcanic activity in the region long before history here was recorded, and the clay layers where plant life flourishes.
Normally dormant and dry it is a welcome sight to see water cascade freely after recent rains. 2010.
