Joe Mortelliti's life long love, from when he was first given a Brownie camera as a boy, was photography. It was the focus of his work life for many years. He loved to travel with his wife Marion to as many parts of Australia as he could. He had the ability to 'see' the beauty of our land in such a way that he could photograph it for the delight of others. These photos are a legacy that he has left us. Used by permission and with appreciation.
Country charm, Hepburn Springs, Victoria, Australia. Shepherd’s flat near Hepburn Victoria. We really felt this picture captured the Australian country side. The rustic fence posts, rusty barbed wire, dry grass, the old farmstead in background set among the contrasting trees with their soft tones and autumn colours. May 2003.

The grass is always greener ... Clydesdale, Victoria, Australia. The late evening sunlight skims across this green pasture near Clydesdale, contrasting with the dry grass and rustic fence. White cockatoos and pink galahs have settled on the field in the background. May 2003.

Forest mist, Midlands, near Daylesford, Victoria, Australia. It was around noon and we travelled higher into the forest in the Midlands near Daylesford. The mist slowly rolled in through the cold crisp forest. It was very still and moody. In this shot the track drawers the eye into the picture. May 2003.
